
Before moving to Albuquerque, Doug Stine held senior positions with some of Silicon Valley's most prestigious companies. He began his career in 1981 with BHA Advertising, a Division of Doyle Dane Bernbach and one of the largest ad agencies in Silicon Valley.
As an account executive, he was responsible for Apple Computer, Sun Microsystems and Applied Materials. In addition, he wrote ad copy and radio commercials. He was named account supervisor in 1993 and was responsible for a team of eight people working with
companies in the fields of technology, finance and healthcare.
He joined Cypress Semiconductor as their advertising manager in 1993 where he managed numerous advertising and direct mail campaigns, both domestically and internationally. He also spearheaded several new initiatives, including the first online sales of software for a semiconductor company and Cypress's first channel marketing program. In 1999 he helped Cypress launch its re-branding campaign that included extensive market research.
In 1997 he joined Optibase, an Israeli-based company specializing in streaming digital video.
Most recently, he served as Senior Director of Marketing and Public Relations for the Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce.
Doug has been a board member of the Business Marketing Association and has taught advertising at the College of Notre Dame in Redwood City, California. He is also on the teaching staff of UNM's Anderson School of Management.
Doug holds an MBA from Santa Clara University, certificates in Creative Writing and Graphic Design, and a BS in Music from Penn State. He is a certified music teacher. In his spare time, he enjoys playing music, canoeing and kayaking, taking photographs, and competing in triathlons.
